WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a form of energy work that originated in Japan in the early 20th century, founded by Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words:

Rei meaning "universal" or "spiritual wisdom"

Ki meaning "life force energy" (similar to chi in Chinese or prana in Sanskrit)

How It Works:

1. Channeling Universal Energy
Reiki practitioners are attuned to channel universal life force energy. They do not use their own energy, but act as a conduit—similar to turning on a faucet and letting water (energy) flow through.

2. Hands-On or Hands-Off Technique

Holy Fire® Reiki is a newer expression within the Usui Reiki tradition, blending the foundational techniques of Usui Reiki with a spiritually guided energy known as Holy Fire®. This energy is often experienced as deeply peaceful, nurturing, and purifying.
